Message from the Chief
On behalf of the members of Klamath County Fire District 1 (KCFD1), it’s an honor to present our Annual Report for 2022. This report illustrates our department’s commitment to the residents, visitors, and businesses within our community; it also reflects our dedication to customer service as a progressive fire service organization. The information in this report demonstrates the professional work accomplished this past year by our Professional Standards, Operations, Fire Prevention and Administrative Divisions.
2022 proved to be an extraordinary year for Klamath County Fire District 1. As we faced challenges we continued to refine and polish our services with a continued focus on training and development, responder safety, upgrades in equipment and standard operating guidelines, as well as efficiency and effective emergency service delivery.
This past year we had a slight decrease in calls for service; however, EMS calls continued to remain the primary reason for response. Regardless of the challenges we faced, each member of our department continued to support the community in an innovative and fiscally responsible manner. Our continued relationships with mutual aid partners, city, county and state agencies again proved to be invaluable as we responded to our community’s needs.
I’d like to thank every member of our Operations Division for their continued emphasis on customer service, professionalism and commitment. I would also like to thank our elected officials (past and present), our City and County Officials, the KCFD1 Executive Team, and our outstanding Administrative staff for their continued supportive efforts.
Respectfully Submitted,
Greg Davis, Fire Chief
Klamath County Fire District 1 is pleased to present its 2021-2024 Strategic Plan.
The purpose of this Strategic Plan is to clearly define our organization’s mission and goals and to outline direction over the next three years. The Strategic Plan serves as a living document and a work in progress, subject to change under evolving circumstances. The plan was developed with input from members of the department (internal stakeholders) and from a community perspective (external stakeholders) as well as ongoing discussions and input received from KCFD1 leadership and our Board of Directors.
Because Klamath County Fire District 1’s call volume continues to increase and the cost of doing business has also increased demands, it makes it imperative that we have an effective Strategic Plan in place that serves as a guideline for our department as we continue to move into the future. This plan outlines details regarding how we will meet the needs of our community.
Klamath County Fire District 1 is committed to maintaining public trust by being fiscally responsible in our decision-making and in offering the best possible customer services. Treating our community members and visitors with respect and dignity is a must, as we respond to their needs, and continue to perform to the best of our abilities.
We want to thank all of the individuals who assisted in helping us build this plan. We firmly believe that the KCFD1 Strategic Plan will serve in the best interest of our community in the years to come.
If you have questions or comments regarding the Strategic Plan, please contact myself or a member of our staff.
Thank you,
Greg Davis
