Professional Standards involves the non-operational components within Fire District 1. As such, the Deputy Chief of Professional Standards is responsible for developing and administering programs and systems to support and promote high performance strategies; in order to meet the organizational needs, vision and values in assigned areas which includes:
Chief Webb’s passion for the fire service started as a child. Growing up as the son of a Fire Chief, he was immersed in the culture and built a desire to serve others. After high school, he joined Molalla Fire District as a volunteer. During this time, he served in positions from Resident/Volunteer, Squad Leader and Lieutenant, before being hired by Crescent Fire District. Shortly after joining Crescent Fire, he became the Interim Fire Chief and then the Fire Chief.
Chief Webb and his wife have one son and two dogs. When not working, they enjoy fishing, camping, hunting, and traveling – especially to the Oregon Coast, and rooting for the Oregon State Beavers!
Chief Knutson started his Fire Service Career in 2006 at Ashland Fire and Rescue. He was a Captain for the last five years of his career there. In September of 2021, he started with the District as Battalion Chief of Training.
Brent and his wife are proud to call Klamath Falls home for most of their lives. They have raised their daughter and son in Klamath Falls. Their daughter is a freshman at Oregon State, and their son is a junior at Henley High School. When not at work they enjoy just about all outdoor activities and watching their son play soccer and hockey.
