2021 Annual Report

Message from the Chief

This past year was full of its share of opportunities, interesting and unique challenges, humbling moments and times where our department members continued to demonstrate resilience in uncertain times. As you’ll find within this document, our team continued to actively seek out opportunities to be involved in making a difference, not only in our local community, but throughout the state.

At Klamath County Fire District 1, our team members are expected to challenge themselves, pursue learning opportunities and advance their abilities in performing the much needed services we provide. Our team not only focuses its efforts on providing the best possible services to our community and its visitors, we also take great pride in taking care of each other.

We have a great purpose here and therefore it’s important we give the best we have. We sincerely care about the work we perform and strive for excellence in all we do. Our team continues to be forward thinking and we’ve made it a priority to invest in our next generation of leaders.

This document describes the efforts we’ve put into training and technology advancements, apparatus improvements and fire station enhancements. We also put an emphasis on building better, more meaningful relationships with our community partners and the public we serve. The future looks bright and I am optimistic about the work ahead.

It’s been an honor to serve our community and we look forward to seeing what we accomplish in 2022! We hope you enjoy this look back at what we’ve been able to do in 2021.

Sincerely,

Greg Davis, Fire Chief

2021-2024 Strategic Plan

Klamath County Fire District 1 is pleased to present its 2021-2024 Strategic Plan.

The purpose of this Strategic Plan is to clearly define our organization’s mission and goals and to outline direction over the next three years. The Strategic Plan serves as a living document and a work in progress, subject to change under evolving circumstances. The plan was developed with input from members of the department (internal stakeholders) and from a community perspective (external stakeholders) as well as ongoing discussions and input received from KCFD1 leadership and our Board of Directors.

Because Klamath County Fire District 1’s call volume continues to increase and the cost of doing business has also increased demands, it makes it imperative that we have an effective Strategic Plan in place that serves as a guideline for our department as we continue to move into the future. This plan outlines details regarding how we will meet the needs of our community.

Klamath County Fire District 1 is committed to maintaining public trust by being fiscally responsible in our decision-making and in offering the best possible customer services. Treating our community members and visitors with respect and dignity is a must, as we respond to their needs, and continue to perform to the best of our abilities.

We want to thank all of the individuals who assisted in helping us build this plan. We firmly believe that the KCFD1 Strategic Plan will serve in the best interest of our community in the years to come.

If you have questions or comments regarding the Strategic Plan, please contact myself or a member of our staff.

Thank you,

Greg Davis

Fire Chief
