Fire Chief John Spradley

John Spradley – Fire Chief

I was hired by Klamath County Fire District No. 1 in 1988 as a Firefighter/EMT.  Previously I had volunteered with the Fire District and was a paid firefighter with Medford Fire and Rescue.  I moved up through the ranks of Captain, Division Chief of Operations, and in 2014 was promoted to Fire Chief.  I am responsible to our elected five member Board of Directors to ensure that Fire District No. 1 provides professional emergency services that meet our community’s needs.

I am currently a member of the Oregon Fire Chiefs Association and the International Association of Fire Chiefs.  I serve as the Vice President of the Klamath County Fire Defense Board.  I also represent Fire District No. 1’s interests at the Klamath Falls Traffic Advisory Board, 911 Advisory Committee, and the Klamath County Interoperable Communications Group.

Rob Arbini – Division Chief - Operations

I began my fire service career in 1992 at the Westland Fire Department, a suburb of Detroit, Michigan with approximately 85,000 residents. I made my way through the ranks of Sergeant/Engineer, Captain, Battalion Chief, and Deputy Chief.  I served on the EMS Committee, Vehicle Specification Committee, Western/Wayne County Hazmat Team, and the Westland Tactical Emergency Medical Support Team which supported the Westland Swat Team.

I look forward to my role with the fire district and getting to meet and work with all the personnel. I hope I am able to share my previous experiences to the personnel as well as listen to their experiences to foster a great relationship.

Monte Keady – Division Chief - Administration

I began my career with Fire District No. 1 in 1989 as a Firefighter/EMTII.  I had experience as a volunteer with Clark County Fire District No. 4 in Washington and Klamath County Fire District No. 4 in Stewart Lenox.  I have also held the position of Captain at Fire District No. 1.  In 2006, I was promoted to the Division Chief of Training; which transitioned to the Division Chief of Training and EMS.  This position has evolved into my current position as the Division Chief of Administration.  I oversee the Training and EMS programs, which also includes Ambulance Billing.

I serve as the President of the Klamath/Lake Fire Training Association, and am a member of both the Oregon Fire Instructors Association and the EMS section of the Oregon Fire Chiefs Association.  I represent Fire District No. 1 on the Klamath County Ambulance Advisory Board.   I have been on the Klamath/Lake HazMat Team since its inception.  I am also certified as an Incident Commander on the all-hazards Type III Incident Management Team.

Craig Andresen

Craig Andresen - Fire Marshal

I started my career in 1998 in Winchester, KY and moved to Oregon in 2005 when I was I hired at Kingsley Field.  While at Kingsley Field I was a Firefighter, Captain, Assistant Chief of Training and Assistant Chief of Fire Prevention.  I was hired by Fire District 1 in August, 2016.  I am a member of the Oregon Fire Marshal’s Association, International Code Council and International Association of Arson Investigators.

I am pleased to be able to serve the citizens and property owners of Klamath County Fire District No. 1.

Phil Hull – Finance Officer

I was hired in 2000 as the Fire District No. 1 Finance Officer.  I am responsible for payroll and employee benefits administration, budgeting and financial reporting, and accounting.  I belong to the Oregon Fire Service Office Administrators and the Society for Human Resource Management.

Celeste Aldinger – Information Technology Specialist

When I was hired in 2005 at Fire District No. 1, my job was split between being an Administrative Assistant and a Computer Tech.  Over time my position has transitioned into a full-time Information Technology Specialist.  I oversee the entire computer network infrastructure between the six fire stations.  This includes managing and maintaining all of the hardware and software.  I provide all of the geographical mapping for the Fire District, Administer the Web Site, and do all of the required state and federal reporting for fire and EMS.  I have received my National Fire Incident Reporting System Program Manager certification through the National Fire Academy.

Nichole Hirschbock – Lead Ambulance Billing Specialist

I was hired in 2013 as the Lead Ambulance Billing Specialist.  I am responsible for reviewing all EMS medical charts for completion and accuracy.  I prepare all ambulance billing documents and post payments to accounts.  I am the primary contact for EMS billing, and am cross-trained to provide backup in other Administrative positions.  I belong to the National Academy of Ambulance Coding and serve on the committee for the annual Operation Prom Night.
