Klamath County Fire District No. 1 is currently seeking to fill the positions of Division Chief - Operations and Division Chief - EMS . These executive leadership positions will complement the management team in meeting a broad spectrum of issues and challenges.

Application Process

A completed Employment Application (signed), resume, and any other supporting documentation deemed appropriate must be received by 4:30p.m., Friday, April 14, 2017 to be considered for the first review. Candidates will initially be evaluated based upon qualifications for the position as evidenced by the education, experience, and training demonstrated in the application packet.

Under Oregon law, armed forces veterans who meet minimum qualifications for a position may be eligible for employment preference. You may be eligible for either 5 points as a Qualified Veteran, or 10 points as a Qualified Disabled Veteran (or spouse), but not both.  If you are a veteran and want to apply for preference points, please submit a completed Klamath County Fire District No. 1 Veterans’ Preference form as well as the required documentation listed on the form.
